A road-trip style Scottish elopement in Torridon

Seth and Pearl rocked up to their elopement in Scotland in style!

They hired a classic MG Roadster car and took on the narrow and winding roads of the North West highlands and Torridon, before tying the knot in a warm and intimate ceremony on the shores of Loch Maree.

Their day started with quiet preparations at the Torridon hotel, a stunning place for an elopement in Scotland! With views out towards Loch Torridon and the surrounding mountains (some of which are the oldest in The World!) The skies were blue as far as the eye could see and with the weather so good and time drawing nearer to the vows, their excitement was palpable, with lots of laughter and jokes… and perhaps a few nerves.

After prep and a few quiet portraits of the Bride and Groom we were soon off and on the road, hurtling towards the secret elopement spot! Our old school camper was trying hard to stick to the tail of their Classic Red sports car as we ducked in and out of passing places, past countless sheep, massive boulder fields, magical woodland and mountains streams.

The area chosen for their elopement was on the shore of Loch Maree in the shadow of the mighty mountain of Slioch.

A gentle breeze helped keep the heat of the day as they exchanged their vows in an honest, intimate ceremony. It was a beautiful scene, surrounded by such an epic vista, their words drifting in the wind out East as we filmed and photographed quietly in the background..

As well as being elopement film-makers and photographers, we are often asked to be witnesses. In Scotland you need two witnesses for your marriage so we were delighted when Seth and Pearl asked if we would sign their marriage schedule, its such a cool thing to do for couples and we always feel really honoured!

After the ceremony Seth and Pearl cracked open the champagne and had a very small glass each before we were on the road again, we had been scouting for awesome locations the day before so took the newlyweds away to film and photograph in some enchanted woodland, next to the rushing rivers and from stunning viewpoints.. We laughed and joked and captured as authentically we could, their special day, their wonderful Scottish elopement.
